The aim of the project is to give young people aged 18 living in and around Gheorgheni the opportunity to participate in the DiscoverEU programme. We will select young people, organise them into teams according to their interests, help them plan a 12-day trip to Europe and then set them off on an experience of a lifetime. During the trip we will travel on Interrail tickets, which means 7x 24-hour (daily) journeys. This time is used to plan the trip and visit as many destinations as possible, based on interests and joint planning. The project is funded by the European Union.

Who can apply?
Young people born between 15 September 2005 and 31 December 2006 who were born, live or study in or around Gheorgheni, Toplita or Tulghes.
How much will the trip cost?
The travel will be fully financed within the project budget, as will the accommodation where the participants will stay, and we will also try to fully finance the board and admission depending on the purpose of the trip.
Who will accompany you?
The association is made up of volunteers and young educators who have been involved in youth development and leadership for many years. We will introduce them soon.
When is the trip?
There will be 8 groups in total, visiting different locations at different times. The first groups will leave in early August.
What will we visit?
The destinations will be chosen by the participants and we will plan the itinerary together as a group. It is the responsibility of the organising team to make this itinerary feasible.
Will the travel be safe?
We will prepare all participants prior to the trip and maximise the safety of participants with the ground rules put in place and the help of the chaperones, but of course we will need your cooperation :)

The first aim of our project is to provide opportunities for young people who, for various reasons, have not had the chance to travel and discover Europe.
Developing the skills of participants
The focus is on the development of participants, from the planning and preparation process, through the journey, to the presentation of their experiences.
